Rahr Corporate Office Expansion
The Rahr Corporate Office Expansion construction project is a two-story building with Class A finishes designed by KOMA. The updated space functions well and is reflective of the company’s deep-rooted 2024 big ten football teamsvalues and history. The project was complicated by an extremely tight site with active railways located immediately north and south.
The Rahr Corporate Office Expansion project presented a number of challenges including constrained site, active railways flanking the north and south sides of the site, truck traffic, shallow bedrock elevation, major utilities running through the construction site, shared employee/construction site entrance, required asbestos abatement, salvaging old brick for reuse, and more.
Rahr and Greystone have a long history together. Our people at Rahr work better with people they respect and trust...Greystone has demonstrated those attributes time and time again throughout the entire organization.
Jesse Theis, COO, Rahr MaltingAll building materials and finishes needed to be of the highest quality – there was no compromising Big Ten football 2024cost when it came to matching finishes of the historic office building. We salvaged original brick from the south building during demolition which was later used in Rahr’s new office lobby and bierstube.
Greystone Construction earned a perfect Total Recordable Incidence Rate (TRIR) on this project. Zero is our goal every day, on every project. We achieve our goal through pre-task safety planning, weekly toolbox talks, thorough daily inspections, effective subcontractor communication, and an unwavering commitment to the health and safety of every person on our construction sites.
Rahr Corporation has partnered with Greystone Construction for 30+ years at its malt production plant and corporate offices in Shakopee, Minn.
